APPLICATIONS
The Gaz-vent was designed to meet the need for degassing or smoke extraction. This is an active door system which creates a natural ventilation when used in the open position.
Its design is based on the experience of the dual-vent, but does not include an explosion protection vent panel.
The system can be coupled to differents sensors or detection : gas, smoke, heat, etc.
A. VENTING BY GAS DETECTION
(NFPA69)
One of the ways to reduce hazards due to thermal runaway is to detect gas escaping from defective batteries early in the process with the help of suitable gas detectors.
The GAZ-VENT solution allows to activate the opening following the detection of these gases.
Following this opening, the ventilation of flammable gases to the outside will considerably reduce the risk of fire and explosion.
After venting, the DUAL-VENT could reclosed automatically.
